Week #2
My sink has been empty 3 out of 5 days. For me that's good. It was even easier when the hubby helped by emptying the dishwasher. I still think of my first week as a success, because I have been focusing more on taming my procrastination. If you know me, you know what a big deal that is.
Why is this important? It has put me in the mind set of "just do it." (No, it's not a Nike ad). I don't have a house- keeper or a personal chef, or personal trainer (well, yes I do if I count myself, but I don't count in this case.) If I just do what ever I would normally put off, I get it done and presto my to- do list is gone.
My new challenge is the diet. Hubby just got some eye-opening news in that the cholesterol and blood pressure are too high. Not a shock, but still hard too hear. This means I now have the green light to get rid of the food stuff I hated having in the house. Canned ravioli's; bu-bye. Last night we had grilled salmon, sautéed kale and spinach in garlic & red wine, mashed roasted sweet potatoes, and a chopped salad. Light, healthy and full of good stuff. The girls loved every bite. The best part was that the longest part of preparing this meal was waiting for the sweet potatoes to roast. Just call me Rachael Ray 'cuz it was done in 30 minutes.
